Well, last year I had a history teacher who was an amazing person...she was nice, friendly, and caring. I came to her a few times for help with personal things, so I wanted to make sure that she be one of the people to know that I came out of the closet and doing much better....so I saw her walking down the hallway of the first floor atrium in the school, and stopped her...I told her that I came out over the summer and that I'm doing much better and she, being Jewish, yelled: "MAZEL TOV!!!!!!" very loudly, and then hugged me and told me that she wants me in her 5th period Race Class :icon_bigg . She said that the door to her classroom is always open if I want to go talk to her or visit, or come to a class . I felt really happy after having that conversation with her :icon_wink
I wish i had a teacher like that. Well, actually i do, but he's gay, so its a little different. but still....CONGRATS!
I tried telling some of my teachers. But they all said "Oh my dear don't worry, we already know" with a giggle.
I,too,wish I had had a teacher I felt that comfortable with(I came out in the '70's) I sure am happy that you did. AND...happy you're from Mass,too!
