Didn't plan on it. My mom told my cousin's wife on Monday that I was gay. She then told her husband (my cousin). Yesterday three was a small family BBQ, and some of my other cousins attended, in addition to the one that already knew. After a few drinks, I just started chatting about me being gay with the cousin and his wife that already knew. My other cousins were around. We just invited them into the conversation, and I said to them "I'm gay". They were all VERY accepting. In fact, they all felt kinda bad for teasing me over the years (they would make comments about some of my more "feminine" mannerisms, some of my "gay looking" clothing, etc.). Man, it feels great to be out to some family, other than my immediate!
That's so great! I'm so glad they were accepting of you! (*hug*) I hope my family will be the same when I finally decide to come out...
