I went to my doctor yesterday and we spoke about like sexual orientation and stuff, and it was the first time i ever said to anyone that I was gay. He was really cool about it and was just explaining stuff to be careful for sex and stuff. It felt good to talk about it. And today I finally came out to my mom, and she was kind of surprised about it, and was like are you going through a phase and how do u know if u never been with a girl and stuff. But then she said stuff like I love you no matter wat. So i guess it went pretty well, and I still cannot believe I said it. but then she said not to tell my friends just yet, which I hopefully will. So that is that. Some tears and a hug but not too bad:icon_wink
Congratulations, that was two "biggies". You don't know how many people have a hard time talking to their doctor about their sexual orientation! Your mom is a perfect candidate for PFLAG materials. They are available as a sticky at the top of Support and Advice.
I've seen a lot of people asking for advice on how to come out to parents after months of membership here, but I've never seen a person make their first post about a successful coming out story. Good job on both of those.
It was a bit nervous, my blood pressure was high when the doctor checked. This might be my first post, but I've known about this site for a while, and it has really helped. Thanks
congratz, hopefully u'll have a load of other great coming out's to come! "Congratulations and celebrations..." sry i was at Frankie 7 Benny's the other day and that songs stuck in my head
