I recently told my Mum, Dad and Brother that I am gay and right now I couldnt be happier, these past 5 weeks have been amazing for me. I have an amazing boyfriend who I love to bits and he has helped me a lot with coming out. So basically after my Sunday morning run, I deciding to tell my mum. She kept saying that she felt like I had something to tell her so I just came out with it "im gay". She smilled and gave me a hug and just said she was happy for me. I then told me Dad and he just said "so" and that I was still the same person amd neing gay is natural. I was shaking a lot when I told him and I was so suprised with how well they both took it. I told my brother a few days later and he didnt care either. They all treat me the same and all my previous fears were stupid really. It feels like a massive weight off my shoulders and I can now live without hiding anything from the people who matter. Thanks for those who have given me support on here over the past few years and a massive thanks to my boyfriend (you know who you are). .
Congratulations! I'm so happy for you! It's nice to hear that you have a very supportive family and I hope you have a bright future ahead.
Really great news - happy for you. You have good parents! I haven't forgotten the posting you made on here a couple of months ago, where you shared you worries and concerns about them knowing. I'm guessing this was nothing like you imagined.
Thanks again everyone, my family are great with it. Took me by surprise. Thanks Linco, I was quite worried. I even thought that my Dad would chuck me out but now I feel a bit stupid with all the worrying haha. Thanks Brodie, im the lucky one. He is very supportive and makes me happy.
Congrats. I am so happy for you. It sounds like you have wonderful support around you. I wish you and your boyfriend the best (!)
