So overall today has be a really good day. I got my first tattoo, found out that a friend is going to come visit me in London (I'll be interning there for a semester, and I leave in 3 days), and I finally came out to my Mom. I've been meaning to tell her for ages, but with me leaving soon it felt especially urgent since I want to be totally out when I head to London. She was checking her e-mail before bed and I was just kind of hanging around and she said she was going to bed but could tell there was something I wanted to tell her. I said, "well I think you know but I just wanted to tell you I'm gay", she kind of laughed because I was so nervous and wrecked and just said "I know, I've known for a while but I just didn't know if I should ask or what". She just thought it to be a personal thing so she didn't want to force it out or anything if I wasn't comfortable, which I appreciate and respect. So we talked for just a few minutes then she went to bed and I'm working on packing. It went pretty much how I imagined it, now I just wish I would have done this a while ago, but oh well, at least it's out there now. And this is just one more reason why my mom is awesome.

Niiiice. I came out in a letter, and just recently asked mum what her reaction was when she got it, she said it was "oh... ok" soooo unspectacular :dry: hahah then she passes it to dad "oh, alright then" lol My day was also nice as I didn't hafta get out of bed till lunchtime (!!)
