I don't know. Today I was pushed over the edge, I need to tell people I knew in real life in a way I wouldn't be able to retract anything.

So, after hearing that Connor Franta came out, I knew I had to as well. So, I texted all of the brothers and I told them that I am 'not straight' and that I'm bisexual.

Some brothers already do, but now...in written evidence...they all will know and I won't be able to lie about it or retract it.

We have another bisexual brother who's kinda out and he obviously accepted me. One other brother has responded and I told him last semester, so more acceptance

No one else has responded, but it is 3:40am :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    I feel a bit relieved.

Awesome. It takes a lot of vulnerability and courage to do that.

    Thanks y'all

The rest of the brothers either responded with support or neutrality, so all in all I'm happy to see that it doesn't change anything

I am the Vice President of the fraternity, so I was worried that If I ever came out it would make things weird. I'm glad it hasn't effected their view of me as a person or as a leader.

Congratulations! It took a lot of courage to text all of your fraternity brothers to let them know.

Happy for you that nothing has changed as a result and that everyone responded positively. I can imagine the relief you must be feeling at the moment.

That's a huge deal, LostLion, and I applaud you for having the strength and courage to come out to your fraternity. I'm really happy that you've gotten a positive response.

That's incredible. I graduated in May but I'm still really close to a bunch of the guys in my fraternity and haven't had the courage to tell them yet; however, one of my new years resolutions is to tell them in the first week of January. I'm petrified but I know I'll feel better once it's done.

Anyway congrats again dude, that's a huge accomplishment. Feel free to shoot me a message if you want to talk more about being openly bisexual in a fraternity

Congratulations! That takes a ton of courage! I wish the best for your brothers rallying around you. Congratulations on the strength and fortitude to be yourself and let those around you know who you are!
