Hey Guys, Just wanted to share a short but very awesomesauce story with you. My girlfriend, Amélie, just told her dad that we were dating. We've been going out for 5 months now, but she was really afraid of telling her dad that we were going out because he might see me differently, or get really mad, or ask those horrible questions (like 'have you had sex in the house?'). I was afraid that when he knew he would not want me to hang out with her any more. Two days ago, when she was in the car with him, she said that she wanted to tell him something that he might freak out about. He was freaked out about that, but then she said that it was good. He looked at her and asked if we were getting married. Amélie laughed and then said no, but it was along the same lines. He said, "Are you and Liz going steady?" (haha what a funny way to put it). She laughed and said yes, and he said that he'd known for sometime. Maybe in hindsight, it was pretty obvious, but it was freaking awesomesauce that he already knew! And now we don't have to worry about holding hands when we're walking down the street to his house. YAY! Life is good. Now if only I could finish this paper on the flocking habits of starlings, life would be perfect.

Yeah, don't laugh too hard at that "going steady". Someday you all will have people younger than you laughing at things you used to say. But I agreee, what a great Dad!
