George I am very impressed by what you are doing, I have been gay since about 13 or 14 but held onto it for over 4 years, it almost tore me apart but it does feel alot better once you have done it.
The best advice is to stand tall look her in the eyes and try not to falter with your words. She may try to explain that its a phase and you will grow out of it but if you really know who you are then the answer is simple.
