so i told 2 of my friends today at the park after school, it was really good, i was talking to alex(one of teh ones i just told) and i was talking really cryptically, like "can u keep a secret?" and "do u want to know someth about me". it went on for a while till my friend Melissa helped out and i eventually said, I'm gay, she at frist thought i was joking but then got it and was like "ohhh" then i hugged her and it was fine, James and Emily (my other friends who already knew ) then brought over vivian and we were saying that i wanted to tell her a secret about me and at first she thought it was about who i liked and then Melissa asked, "what do u think it is?" and she said "i dunno, ben's gay?" to which i said yes and she was like "okay, why would i care?". so then after that it was really great, we didnt talk about my being gay much we justtalked, oh and vivian asked ifshe could straighten my hair on camp, to which i think im agreeing to... anyway my count is now almost 30 im thinking...(of people im out to) thanks to EC, i really think its helped my selfesteem being able to talk in such a friendly environment, brilliant site this is!

That's so great, I'm really proud of you I wish I had had the guts and the brains to come out at 14... Which means you need to update your Out Status
That's so great! My hopes get a little higher everytime I read more and more stories of guys and girls coming out on their early teens! This is really nice! At age 14 I still was very confused about if I liked boys or girls better... now I'm 19 and I can count with my fingers the people that know about me. :-/
