Most of my friends have known about my sexual preference since I was 14 but my mom was another story. So, I was at her house making this photo board collage thing for my girlfriend and she came in and was laughing at me and said, "What are you gay now?" And to her surprise and mine too (I didn't plan this) I said, "Actually I am and this is for my girlfriend." It took a while for the shock to wear off and she had to talk to everyone about it but she came around. Now I feel like I have such a good support system that I wish I would have told her sooner.
