I just came out to my parents, and it went very well. I was concerned because they used to be extremely religious and conservative. They were not negative, aside from some borderline conspiracy theory about psychologist, which isn't a big deal. I'm very glad I got that over with. I thought it would a long drawn out emotional discussion.
It feels good to finally realize that they liked you for being you. Congratulations, you've been very fortunate with your folks.
Just a quick update, still going very well. My mom was shocked, and is currently in denial, but not defensive which is good. Coming out was easier then I anticipated. Thanks for the nice comments.
