Last night, lewis logged on and we got talking. And he asked me why I changed my Sk.ype name to Gerard. I said I wasn't sure if I should tell him or not yet but he insisted. I told him how I identify as male and waited for his reaction. I'm not sure if it was good or bad.
    Here's what he said:
Firstly, cheer up. Do anything you want for all I :***: care. I'll still love you no matter what.

But then he refused to call Gerard. He kept saying Holly. And when I asked him to call me gerard he put quotation marks around it.
    He apologised later.

I also came out to someone else but this seems long enough.

mm, you remind me of my best friend, who just transitioned FTM. Anyways, you want people who will love you for who you truly are. Changing names can be hard though, especially if people have known you for a while. Good luck Gerard!

Just keep reminding him to call you Gerard. As long as he isn't doing it intentionally, then I'd give it time. I sometimes slip up on myself because of how long I've had to refer to myself as female before a lot of things added up for me. I'm sure it's no easier for anyone else.

I hope things go the best they can for you!
