So I was walking home with a co-worker I'd come to recognize as a close friend of mine and we were talking about sexuality (They'd come out as gay to me, as well as I had come out to gay to them) and I took it as a chance to come out to them as trans, I wasn't sure how they'd react, so I just kind of said it... well they stopped dead in their tracks and by that point by heart was racing. They were looking at me like I was an alien and I was so scared, like I thought I'd just lost a friend, or even worse that they were preparing to scream at me, but to my surprise all they said was "I identify as transgender too..." and BAM a friendship strengthened. Scared the living **** out of me when they stared at me for so long, so quietly, but it's the best experience of my life.
That's terrific news. Everyone seems to have terrific news today. February is truly the month of love - self love especially! That's literally like the best outcome and what a way to strengthen a friendship. Have fun bonding!
