Another friend was told today, over MSN... what started out as a conversation about why I dislike Valentines day so much ended up with me coming out. It just seemed right in the context of the conversation, and as I expected, there was no difficulty or bad reaction. It seems to get easier every time, and with every "success" - but I'm far from being openly out...
And another - the guy I mentioned in this post has been sent a message - not had a reply yet... My thoughts this time - I'm just getting to know this guy - why not get this out of the way now - mainly so I have another gay friend in the real world to talk to, and him not having to try to guess what I am...
Good job. Lol Still cant get over those dancing bannana's though. They creep me out. They scream "Peanut butter jelly time!!"
Alex, you're not the only one - there've been a few emails back and forth with the guy mentioned earlier - I'd rather talk in person, but like most of my friends, he lives several hours away. However I've been sticking to the easier ones so far, the people who I already know are gay, or I know have gay friends already. Those who are highly unlikely to judge me for it. These are the easy ones - coming out to people I've known for longer is much harder - and far more scary - and so far, too scary to actually do.
