well, my cousin (katie) read my other cousin's (christine) mail and found the mail I sent christine. then she talked to her mum. so, she talked to my mum. so I'm out to my aunt and my cousin who's 10 1/2. the only consolidation is that my ex-uncle's brother was gay and they were fine with it. still, 10 1/2? that's so young. she could tell someone by accident . :bang: thoughts? because I'm scared as hell that she'll tell someone :icon_sad:
Hey sean, how are ya? 10 1/2 is a little young to be processing this kind of information. I know people a heck of a lot older who still have problems processing that and unfortunately a young person of that age can babble about something like that without understanding exactly what they are saying or if they may be hurting someone. If you get along well with your cousin and have a good trust factor perhaps you can sit down with him/her and without going into depth, explain that this bit of info is something that might be hurtful to you if he/she was to tell anyone. this makes me think of a coming out story posted on here a while back, that I cant find but I made a copy of on my computer it may be a bit young for her to know but dont judge a book by its cover
