Hi everyone!! I just told my friend (the one that I like) that I'm not straight.. and I have to say, it felt really good! Here's how it went. I said: I have something really important to tell you. I trust you as a friend and I think you should know. She: You have a boyfriend? I: No, I've been questioning my own sexual orientation for the past months and I've come to the conclusion that I'm not straight. She: that's great! I: HUh? What really? She: Yeah, but you still need to figure it out right? That's how the conversation sort of went, except we started talking for an hour about it. And we might go to a gay club together. I still really like her, but I feel now a lot more comfortable and happy. And as for her, she sounded like she didnt know what kind of guys she likes... (why do I have a feeling she's also a little confused?) So who knows. I'm just glad I told her so I wont have to keep on thinking about it the whole time. I didnt tell her I like her though, but it will come, I guess. Current out status: 3 people!! yay :icon_bigg
Oh, and I would like to thank EC and everyone who supported me. You guys really helped me a lot... and gave me the courage to tell her! I love you guys! xxx
Sounds good at least! It could've been worst. Just keep reminding yourself that! Lots of people don't have a first easy coming out. So are you going to tell your family any time soon?
I feel I'll just tell my parents when I actually know what I am, and also have a relationship. And I also think my parents are suspecting it a bit. It's scary how parents just find out about things. I just need to be mentally ready for it. How long, I cannot answer though. =S
Nice one! I knew you could do it!!! I'm doing a psycho dance in my living room right now for you...woop woop. Your friend sounds like a classy lady.xx
That's SO great! I'm very happy for you. Yes - EC has given me and lots of other people the courage and confidence to 'carry on' with life. I'm glad you've found it helpful too!
Thanks for all your congrats! We had to practice patient and doctor thing for our study and one guy in my class asked me during one of our practises ( I was the patient) : "Are you in a relationship?" I said: "No, I'm single." He said: "If you're in a relationship, would it be a heterosexual or homosexual one?" I asked nicely: "Can it be both?" He just chose to ignore it and moved onto the next question! >_<
