I just came over to my mom's house today, to talk to her about all this. We started talking, and I totally meant to just blurt it out, "I think I'm bi," but it was just so damn hard to get the words out. Finally, she said, "Well, do I have to play 20 questions for it or what?" So I was like "umm, ok, that works."
First she asked, "Are you questioning your religion?" (which weirded me out because I am already "out" as agnostic)
Then, the second question: "Are you questioning your sexuality?"
It was such a relief. She didn't ask much, (She already knows a lot about being gay since she is herself) just basically, why do you think this, do you think you are bi or gay, stuff like that. (I don't get how she thought I might be gay - I've liked guys since I was 8 or 9! Of course, I liked girls too, but I didn't tell her that then) She also told me that she only said religion first because she didn't want to ask about sexuality first.

I feel great. It's like a weight is off my shoulders.

    That's awesome! Congrats!
Having a gay mother has gotta make it a lot easier to bring out into the open, because there's that level of understanding.
    Well Done! :icon_bigg

Yes, she is cool. Even when we do have the whole parent/child general annoyance of each other.

Maybe it was easier for her to recognize because she's also not straight.

    And, congratulations!

    20 question? Hehe, that's great.

Sounds sort of similar to when I first came out to my mom (she's straight, though). I was all prepared to just blurt it out, and then I choked. So instead she started guessing what my problem was. Her second guess was "You're questioning your orientation?"
