this didnt happen recently. in fact, it happened years ago in the sixth grade. someone from the college across the street from my middle school had brought in a gun and was threatening people with it (across the street from us, not in ours chool), so our school went into lockdown. however, they didnt tell us anything, and i was under the impression we were going to die (duh) very recently i had "discovered things" about myself. namely, i was in love with my best friend at the time and wasnt "normal". she knew i wasnt "normal" (bt not the other part) and one other person knew. i stood up and i told my entire group of friends i wasnt straight. i was close to tears on the inside and i hugged people. i honestly thought i was going to die. and then the dean of students came and told us we were fine and that we just had to stay in the lunchroom for a little while. pretty embarrassing. anyway, thats my coming out story
Geez, Liv. That's kind of an awkward situation. How did your friends take it? Were they cool about it?
they were alright. sixth graders will accept pretty much anything, and my city is pretty liberal and accepting anyway. i was glad i did it, and it makes for a great story.
Cool. It IS a good story, but it sent chills down my spine. I'm so glad your classmates were good with it, though!
That's hilarious! It's weird, on some things children are just cruel but on others, they can be really awesome. I'm glad it worked out so well for you .
