Today I had an appointment with a social worker at my school to start the process of coming out as transgender at school and I am so happy. She had to write down some information like my family and my preferred name and gender. It made me so happy because she wrote down my preferred name and then when she was writing down my gender identity it was the first time I have ever had someone call me male. She also was telling me that the counselor should be involved in our plan for Telling the staff and she said that she will tell the counselor this weekend and they will use my preferred name in these meetings. This all happened like 10 minutes ago and I am so happy!!!
