My mom is starting to tell my extended family about my gender identity. She first told my aunt who is the closest LGBTQ person in my family and she and her wife were told because my mom wanted someone to help her with how she reacts to this. She is planning on telling her dad soon and she told her best friend who is practically my aunt as well. She is telling me all the response and she is telling them when I'm kind of officially coming out to everyone so they will know when to expect larger change from me.

If you're happy people are being told, then I'm happy for you and I hope people take things well and this Christmas has been filled with acceptance not awkwardness -- and if it wasn't, I hope the next one will be. All the best to you.

Lucky  my mom won't even let me tell her if I'm trans.
