I changed my "interested in" status.
It has no notification, and I didn't make any announcement about it, but it's there. So I guess I'm quietly public, at the moment.
I guess it shouldn't be a big deal.
    But still...overwhelmed.

    PARTY TIME!

That is a huge huge HUGE step! Congrats! Like, so huge. Its only one word on a profile, but it sends a clear message that your not afraid anymore. Very powerful. When i did it, i had a few people message me to "talk" or "go out to lunch" and then confronted me, but anyone who had a problem with it tended to just zip it

Congrats! That is a big step, actually. When my dad and grandmother found me on facebook, I was freaked out and took my "interested in" off. And hid my relationship at the time.

    So good for you!

Congrats! As Greggers said, even if you may not think it is, this is a big step! When I did it, the only person who noticed thought someone had changed it when I wasn't looking or something. All my close friends knew already though, so that's probably why. I'm Proud of you!

P.S. Haiiro, as mentioned in an earlier thread, did you know you can block certain friends from specific parts of your profile? That's what I did for my relatives.

    Congratulations! Yep....it is a huge step!

It took a lot of courage to change it; something to be really proud of!

Just go to privacy settings, then choose profile. Then go to basic info and click customize. you should be able to figure it out from there. You can even see what that person would see if they looked at your profile.

Considering it... (aftering watching MILK )

How would I remove the news feed thing so that all my friends don't see "Andrew changed his 'interested in' on his profile."

I went into the news feed options and it seems to me that this is impossible to stop for profile changes.

I don't want to make a big deal of it. I just want it to look like something that was always there. After all, that's exactly what it is.

    Oh and Congrats!!
