I decided enough was enough and sent my younger sister an email telling her I was gay. I decided to tell her first since me and her have always been close and she is very understanding. I sent the email before bed and couldn't sleep at all that night. The next morning I called her asking if she checked her email saying I left her one that she needed to read. She said she didn't have a chance to read her emails yet but that she could tell I was nervous and she would read it as soon as she could. After she had read it she came over and hugged me saying she supported me and that she imagines it must have been very hard for me to hide this for so long. She said she would tell my older sister since I said I wasn't sure I could tell her face to face(she doesn't have an email). She said that with both sisters backing me it will be easier to tell my mom. We both wonder how we are gonna tell my dad though since he is very traditional and hates gays. I'm happy she was so supportive of me. I wonder when she's gonna tell my older sister. I hope it goes well with my mom. Don't know what to do about my dad.

My younger sister told my older sister for me. She supports me too.:icon_bigg Now all that's left is to tell my mom then my dad. My dad will probably not support me at all but at least I'll have support from my other family members, hopefully my mom will support me too.

Congratulations on coming out to your sister!

Having your sisters on your side could make things a bit easier in terms of coming out to your mom and dad. Maybe have some PFLAG pamphlets, which you can print out, ready for your parents. Education is often the key.

Good luck with coming out to your mum and dad.
