So today I decided to come out on Facebook again. I've been out for three years now, but since then I've met a lot of new people, some of whom didn't know yet and bisexuality is still too invisible in society, so I felt the need to say: 'I'm bisexual and we exist'. Not in those exact words, the actual post is a little longer.

It went as I had hoped and expected. I got a lot of likes, loves and positive comments, but then I noticed something... they were all from people (mostly women) my age. That in itself isn't weird, but another post with a photo of me holding my baby nephew, which I posted a few minutes earlier, got a bunch of likes from older male friends and relatives who apparently chose to ignore my coming out.

Acceptance is what I want, but I can't even get acknowledgement. I guess I'll have to do it old school and tell/remind them face to face.
