I am so happy now. I was chatting on Facebook with a friend of mine who moved to Florida. I wanted to tell him for a long time but I did not know how. I know that he would take it well because he is also friends with a friend of mine from high school is gay.

He asked me if I talked to him lately, the friend that is gay and I told him no. Then I said I talked to him a bit he helped me work out some things. I was so nervous but decided to tell him. I said he gave me some advise about talking to my parents. I told them I am gay. There was a few minutes of pause. I then asked if he was there he said 'yea, still letting it soak in'. He said it does not change a thing and we are still best of friends. He said he was not too surprised, me being a bachelor and not talking about women. We then got side track he was asking me about the score of the Bruins game. Then I told him I knew he would be fine with it but did not know how to bring it up and I value his friendship. he then said he missed his workout friend. We used to lift in his parents basement. then we reminisced a bit. At the end I told him I had to go. He then said luv you friend...but you can not have my Bud Light. I told him thats okay I drink Sam Adams.

But seriously... you like dark beers and live in Mass. and you drink Sam Adams? Hello! Harpoon IPA, Magic Hat, Long Trail, Ipswich IPA, are so much better than Sam. =P

IPAs aren't dark. They're just hoppy, and far too hoppy for my pallete.

For those who like dark beers and ever happen to find themselves at a good party store in Michigan, look for Bell's Expedition Stout. This stuff makes outer space look light by comparison. But beware, it is hard to find (and $16.99 plus deposit per six pack). It's worth both the price and the effort to find it.

Oh, and of course, congrats on coming out to your friend!

Congrats - glad it went well.

    Oh - and, IMO:
    Bud is absolutely awful.
Bud Light is worse than awful.

If you like darker beers, see if you can find Coopers Stout.
Coopers is a family owned South Australian brewery...and they make some of the best 'bulk produced' beers around. As far as I am concerned, their stout beats Guiness hands down.
