my grandpa's reaction

well, my dad told my entire family today, and i told him he could cause it was time for me to come out.

so he went to my grandpa's house and went through the yard and talked about the flowers he was growing, and the truck he just bought. then he told my grandpa that he had something kinda serious that they needed to talk about so they both sat down, turned off the tv and my dad tells him that i'm gay. well my grandpa immediately jumps out of his chair yelling "WHAT?! HOW COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED?!" and my dad said, he told us yesterday

well it turns out that grandpa wasnt wearing his hearing aid, and when my dad said paul is gay, what he heard was paul is dead. so when he heard what my dad really said, he just said "OH is that all! i was already pretty sure of that" haha oh grandpa. he also says i can still carry on the bloodline, i can just do artificial insemination lol.

the whole family actually kinda knew and they came over to prove that nothing had changed. it was great. and i'm super stoked on life but super tired now lol.

 

oh and separate story, he has a good friend who we assumed had a gay son, and we all kinda knew about him as well, so we were talking about it and once when our two families went to dinner we all met his boyfriend (or what we assumed was his boyfriend because no one told us but it was completely obvious).

anyway! when he went to tell his friend, he told my dad that he already knew because his son and his son's boyfriend already told him lol, and that was when my dads friend also told my dad that his son was gay, and my dad said, yes i know. apparently we've all known about each other for much longer than any of us thought lol.
