Just came out to someone (Excluding Health Professionals) for the first time in 9 years. http://www.emptyclosets.com/forum/showpost.php?p=501070&postcount=7 The above post explains a little bit about how this conversation started on Tuesday night. It kicked off again tonight when he started guessing the females that I might be interested in, when I answered 'No' to every single one of them he asked if he was on the right gender, for the first time in so long I admitted to someone that I am gay. Still a bit buzzing at the minute, I wasnt really prepared for it, but its good to get started again. He said he swings both ways so I wasnt the only one with a secret.
That's awesome! I still haven't crossed that bridge at work. It's going to be a little awkward, given the pictures of my kids on my desk. Oh well - they'll find out eventually I'm sure.
That's great, and I've often found that the more subtle ways (such as this situation) are a lot easier than just busting out with "I'm gay."
