So today I had plans to go off with an old high school friend to a wine tasting and dinner afterward. We had a good time at the wine/cheese shop and then walked next door to the pizzeria. She, a couple of her friends and I were chatting it up, having a good time and such. The Tour de France was on, so I commented about how bike shorts should always be black. The inquired why. Any other color shows your business a bit too much. She said that it could be a good thing. I replied with a not so much. "Oh yeah it is, unless you are jumping the fence on me or somthing..." HAHAHA Told her I jumped the fence a long time ago, but did the denial/closet thing a long time. She didn't even bat an eye. It was great.

Then it came time for them to move along, but the bartender had made my drink extra strong and gave me a lot of it. I opted to stay on a bit to sober up. A very nice fellow came and sat next to me. We hit it off as friends pretty instantly. Awesome guy. Then he kind of awkwardly asked "Are you...if you don't mind me asking..." I knew where he was headed at this point and started to shake my head. Eventually he popped out with "homo...homosexual?" I laughed without skipping a beat and told him I was. Then we continued talking for several hours. Figures I would go out and have a straight guy who knows he isn't getting anything walk away with my number instead of a girl. He seems like he is going to be an awesome friend though, so no complaints.

I know it seems kind of minor, but I am kind of proud of myself. One old friend and a complete stranger/new friend in one day. Even more so that I didn't hesitate with either.(!)

Lol, the part about ending up spending most of the day with the straight guy was cute. At least you made a good friend out of it! (!)

hahaha I think he may have just tried to call. The phone rang and the number was restricted. I don't answer those calls so I decided to just turn the phone off, but silly me forgets my phone answers when you open it. Still turned it off like a dork. No message left.

Who calls at 8:30 on a Sunday night I wonder?

I know right? But all my friends are scattered across the country so it never hurts to have more locally. I totally asked him if he knew any girls. Sadly, he did not. Oh well.
