I just came out to my Mom,

    like a few minutes ago.
    She said she wanted to "Talk to me", and I know what that means. I always do.
    So we sat down in the living room and said my Dad had found a gay website on my computer, however, since I don't use porn, I figured out it was EmptyClosets.
    I told her straight up "Before we start, you should know, I'm gay" and she said "Well, yeah we know."

    Not exactly what I was expecting. So anyways, I told her it was a support site and said it was cool. She's a very religious woman, but she seemed to know more about gays than I do. Pretty surprising. I guess you can call her a "Modern Christian". Anyways, it was quite surprising. Now all I have left is my father to tell, but I'm sure he knows. Wow, it wasn't as bad as I first thought.

    Well... I'm sure it wasn't what you wanted to have happen, and might have chosen a different method and timetable for coming out... but what a wonderful thing that it's over and done with so quickly! Now you can just get on with it without being stressed. Congrats!

    like the way i ended up coming out to my brother made me realize. Life just doesn't always play out the way you want it to. But in the end things will work out the best they can. You clearly have a good family. and congratulations on being more out :slight_smile:

    I'm glad your mom took it relatively well, although I'm sure it was definitely much more rapid than you would have liked.

    You make it sound like a common occurrence having gay sites on your computer?

    I'd be surprised if he didn't know. I'd bounce it off your mom first, to see if she thinks he'd have a problem. Then just go and tell him. Even if he already knows, saying it will remove all doubt.

    And Password / clear history / separate browser.

    EDIT: Oh, and congrats!! Glad your mom took it well!

    Congratulations for coming out to your mother. I suppose you would have wanted to do that another way, but I think you handeled the situation very well and that's great that your mother seems to be accepting.
