Well I did it, I guess. Today I took a step out of the closet to everyone at the university I attend. I wore a pride wristband and felt great doing it. I was afraid of what might happen, of what people might say but now I think I'm comfortable in the small city of campus. Now, just to come out to those who matter...
Awsome, great job you are gonna be so relieved from now on, and very happy, good luck and be brave no matter what
That is so awesome!! I so want to wear one around campus!! Im just to worried about what people might thinkk. But yayyyyy for you!!
That's how I felt, but I just walked around as if it was natural really. The weird thing was seeing some of the stares I got, I really don't fall into the gay stereotype. The funniest thing I saw was a lot of guys acting differently around me. Just because I'm gay, that doesn't mean I'm checking you out, lol. :roflmao:
ikr? straight guys think that we want them... thats not the case. the only thing id want from them is friendship but it seems theyre too scared even for that. w/e... but good for u keep us posted
YEAAA FOR PRIDE!!! and Congrats! When I first came out I put a pride ribbion on my backpack. It definitely helped me.
That's absolutely awesome!!! It's the start of another school year (at least here in North America - not sure what kind of school calendar other parts of the world work on) and that fresh start just might be the perfect time to step out of the closet a little and see how it feels. Good luck!
Thanks. It just so happens that the day I decide to do this there are signs plastered everywhere on campus advertising the first meeting for the GSA. I'm thinking of going.
I have a " i <3 boobies" wristband, which im sure outs me plus the donations went towards breast cancer And a ribbon on my bagpack from last year.
You should go GSA's are the best, you'll find people who you didn't even know were gay and hopefully make lasting friendships
That's awesome! It's great that you feel comfortable doing that and it is a really good way to start a new school year! I hope that you do will attend the first GSA meeting. It's a great way to meet LGBT folks on campus and join in on some on- and off campus activities.
