I just officially came out on Facebook. I posted a note and everything. Holy crap, it was really hard to click that button. But I did it I did it I did it! (!)

I'm waiting for responses now. I'm so nervous. But I'm proud of myself! No going back now!

    *is still shaking a little*

    Reactions so far:

"You go girl!" - My openly gay male friend

"Haha you're still awesome!" - My good female friend

"I must say that I'm surprised. It's good that you're honest about it. I love you, always." - Another good female friend

I'm so happy right now. I didn't expect to feel so different, but I feel SO much better.

    Congratulations (!)

It takes a lot of courage, and might seem like a bad idea, but it's a truly fantastic feeling afterwards :icon_bigg

Yay! Congrats on a full FB outing! Now that I think about it, I don't think I've seen a bad FB outing yet, lol. I guess that by the time FB comes along, you're already done with the important people anyway.

Yeah, I told my parents first, and a few of my friends. This was my way of telling my really good friends, though.... I hated having to do it on a case-by-case basis, and just kinda thought "what the heck, they all need to know anyway, so I might as well do it this way." And it worked out so well.

The only confusing thing is I'm not sure who knows now! I mean, I know the people who commented know, but I'm pretty sure there are some people who read it without saying anything about it. And there are also the friends of mine who HAVE Facebook, but weren't on when I posted the note, so are still oblivious to it. I don't know whether I should just leave things as they are and let people find out on their own or go around and tell the people who I don't think saw it. There are a few who didn't see it who still need to know. It's important to me.

haha yeah i hate that so i've just stopped worrying and commenting whatever way i feel like regardless of the level of gayness it creates haha i'm pretty sure my entire AP psych class knows a few guys i'd like to make out with in our school now after talking to my friends in that class kind of loudly hahaha
