It took me way too long, I'm kind of embarrassed. I just couldn't tell her for some reason, despite the fact that she was my best friend for three years. she already knew because I was out on facebook and I had heard through other friends that she was upset that I didn't feel like I could tell her in person. So, on Friday, I finally did. I didn't know what I was so afraid of - she was really happy I told her and we've actually gotten closer because of it. <3 I'm happy.
Congratulations on coming out to your best friend! That's fantastic! Don't be embarrassed about it. It's totally normal for not being able to say something or to come out for a while, even to best and long time friends. Saying everything out loud is always hard. I am happy for you that it went so well!
It'll get easier in time and you'll learn who you can trust and who you can't. And once you have enough support you won't mind who knows. Congrats.
