Hey! Feels great to have something to post in here! I haven't come out to anyone since last March! Tonight, a friend from University was visiting and I planned on telling her that I'm gay. We spent the afternoon together with another friend, the straight guy I had told last year around this time! I actually ended up chickening out and had decided not to tell her, but then she left me and my friend alone for a second, and he was like "So are you gonna tell her?", which basically renewed my "courage". As scary as it was, when she came back...I did it!! I feel great! I would have beaten myself up over it had I not done it - so I'm really happy right now!!! Definitely have to remember to thank my friend for the little nudge in the right direction! Also - for anyone who remembers that I had joined a gay swim group: things there are going AWESOME. I swim about 2.5 km twice a week. I've started making friends, and though my relationships with them aren't as strong as I'd like them to be (i.e. hanging out together outside of the swim group), I'm still happy that I have those relationships and I'm sure they will grow with time. I think I deserve a dancing banana - (!)
