    A while back my mom took me out to a Chinese Restaurant. It was right after i got my braces on so i wanted to eat as much as possible before they started to hurt. Then we started talking about how the headmaster of a private school had to step down cause she came out as gay. Then she asked my opinion on the matter. Then i said: "Well thats a funny thing." She looked confused, and i spilled the "beans". She then decided to shout: "YOUR BISEXUAL???" And almost everyone in the restaurant looked at me. After that she seemed pretty cool with it.

    You are really lucky. I'm guessing that she perhaps asked those questions with the intent of giving you the opportunity to open up... but then (at first, at least) maybe didn't want to hear the answer.

    I think it is doubly hard for a parent to hear it from a child who is your age. Parents like to think of their kids as.... kids, and for most, thinking of their kid as being sexual at all, particularly at age 13 is sort of jarring to a lot of parents, i think. But great that you've got her support!!

    Ya now i just came out to my whole school. YAY!!!!!!!!! 2 people have already asked me out, i politely declined cause i barely knew them.

    Heh, glad your parent(s) seem to accept your sexuality so easy =)
    And congratulations for being so confident about it!!!


    Still need to hammer it home to my parents that bisexuals DO exsist... Even months after coming out...

    You are very brave, my guess is you don’t have any idea how brave you really are. Congratulations! And I agree that is one restaurant I would have loved to be in.

    Well I'm not just proud of you, I'm also in awe of you. Here I'm futzing out about coming out to a couple of my friends and my parents, and you just go and announce it to the whole school! You're a bigger man than me... :icon_wink

    I have missed you thread until today.
    Congratulations on coming out to your mother and to your school mates. That's really awesome that you can be out and proud at such a young age. And I'm happy for you that your mother is supportive, that's awesome.
