My coming out process has been a long one. Last summer i came out to myself and i found this website, then i eventually began to accept the fact that im gay. i went to a youth group in atlanta and they helped me tremendously. i came out to my dad at the beggining of this year and he took it pretty well, he is trying really hard to accept it which makes me feel amazing. i told my mom a few weeks later, she hasnt taken it so well but i think she is finnally starting to try to accept me. i am finnally happy for who i am and i can finnally say to friends that im gay without feeling wierd about it. this website and a lot of people on here helped me out with this process and i thank everyone who had a part in it. peace -jaylon
Congratulations on coming out! Glad that your parents are coming around to it and are accepting. Glad that joining EC and the LGBT group have helped you to accept yourself and get through the coming out process.
Congrats, and good to see that you're back posting on EC. Just remember, it takes time for many parents to adjust. But obviously they love you.
Fantastic! It's so wonderful that your coming out process is well underway, and don't worry about how long it's taken you - it should always be at your own pace. And for all those others still thinking about coming out and looking for their own motivation, let me isolate this quote you've provided us; There's no better reason than this!
