My best friend finally got sick of me not coming out to my parents and decided to send my little sister a message on FB yesterday... Nobody said anything about it until I was eating my breakfast this morning, when my mum said to me "So your friend outed you last night". I rolled my eyes to that, and my mum just said "We've all known for years, we were waiting for you to say something but didn't want to interfere. Worst kept secret ever". :roflmao: So yeah. Basically out to everyone. (!)
Wowww, I'm glad it turned out well If my best friend did that, I'd end up curbstomping her Feel bad later, of course, but it would seem viable at the time :icon_wink :lol: Kidding, obviously. Congratulations!

That's a good story! I kinda wish someone would do that for me, but I dunno anyone with the balls to do that. Sometimes all you need to come out is one small catalyst.
Ahhh best come out EVER... I wish my parents were as easy to catch on but I highly doubt that, if my best friend did that I might want to kill them to begin with but if it turned out that good I'm sure i'd forgive them
I sorta did that to my friend. I'd known he was gay for close to 10 years, and it got to the point of ridiculous (he had a live-in boyfriend in a one-bedroom loft and tried to claim that the bf lived in the basement.) So I just forced the issue. He was mad for about 24 hours and then it was fine. But what a great story, and how nice that your mom joked about it with "worst kept secret ever"! Congratulations!
I don't really think it was your friend's place to do that, even if (s)he meant well. But I am super glad it went swell for you! And I found your mom's reaction to be pricelessly hilarious. :lol:
I sort of agree with Black Cat. I tend to think that it's a decision that you have to make on your own pace. Maybe because I would be absolutely mortified if that happened to me, and because I don't know if my own family would be as cool about it as yours was (your mother's comment was priceless and is a story you will be able to laugh about for the rest of your life!). More important, though, Congratulations!
Yeah if I told one of my friends that I was gay and he outed me I would definitely be in handcuffs before I even realized I gagged him with a fork lol But I'm glad things worked out for you. You seem happy
