She and I have been close for a while and she knew that I had an interest in girls, but that I was having issues with it. I told her last night that I'd finally accepted it and that I was really happy, but really scared too. She said "I knew babe. I knew and I'm so happy for you. And it's okay to be scared, but don't forget you've got me and I'm always gonna be here if you need anything." Just had to share.
She is. She's been out for a while. All through high school I had this big crush on her. After she graduated we started talking and we flirted, a lot. Still do actually. But since she lives in another state we haven't dated or really want to. She's such a "big sis" to me, if that makes sense. Anyways, she's been super supportive and I love her to death. Does anyone else have someone like that...an older, or not much older person, who you know you can go to for, what she calls "gay advice", or anything else?
Well, there is this guy I kinda like and we used to go out (not like dating) all the time and just talk about gay issues and such. It was really helpful to me. I haven't seen him in a while though. But hey... isn't this site practically the same?? Hehe (Well, I guess the internet can never compare to physical interaction, but still, I feel so much happier and more educated/open-minded when I come here).
I do too. This place has really become like a "home" for me, you know? It's the one place I can be totally open and totally myself.
Congratulations for telling your friend She seems to be a wonderful friend, her answer is absolutly awesome I'm happy for you that you have someone you can talk to and be open with. (*hug*)
Thanks. She really is a great friend and I'm so lucky to have her. Of course I'm glad I've got everyone on here too. :icon_bigg
