It was the first time I ever felt totally comfortable with being open about myself with new people and it honestly felt so good. I wasn't planning on coming out at all, but they were all so open about their sexuality and kept talking about how accepting their group was. I think they could tell and were maybe just trying to get me to open up. I am so excited about this and they know that my parents don't know and not many people do either. They understand that you can't exactly be out on our campus without some kind of issue, but I am glad to have found a little community for myself. Just thought I'd share with you guys.
It actually wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, but I know that's only because I felt safe with them. They were gay as well, the weren't going to judge me for it and they don't have control over my life (like my parents do). There wasn't too much of a risk you know? Just give it a little time and I'm sure you'll find someone you can be open with hun.
