I am a music major and i sing a lot!! my vocal teacher was explaining to me today the proper way to hold my mouth when singing. She told me to think about kissing my girlfriend, not necessarily "puckering" but just thinking about it..
    my response..

"um.. i dont have a girlfriend"

well have you ever kissed a girl?

"no but I've kissed my boyfriend"

Oh.. ok well pretend your kissing him then

    ok

afterwards she told me that i improved my tone just by thinking about that and told me that i had to be gay if thinking about my man made me sing better!!

    she is pretty awesome! lol

You're a male music major and your voice teacher assumed you were straight? That would never have happened at Oberlin

Of course... maybe she was being polite. Everybody knows most male voice majors are poofters

Anyway, wonderful that she was so accepting... though I can't imagine a homophobic voice teacher
