So I came out to one of my good female friends yesterday. A week or so ago in class I asked what was a good place to eat and someone was like "Are you going on a date?!" which in turn started the rumor mill of who I was dating. Anyway, everyone just assumed it was a female since I'm really straight acting. After a couple of dates I started asking my friend advice on dating and such because I haven't dated a lot of people in general. At this point, everyone still thinks it is a girl and I'm just being private. So my friend and I grab dinner after class and we start talking about our respective relationships and I asked her if she wanted to see a picture of "her." So I bring up a picture on my phone of the guy I've been dating/hanging out with/whatever and put it down in front of her. All she says is "Awww, he is so cute." Asked a few questions over the course of the night, and was just really cool about it. She has dated a lot of guys that have turned out to be gay, so at the end of the night she was like, "Well, if you ever need advice on dating gay guys, just ask. I've dated enough of them." One down, everyone else to go.

Yeah this thread is messed up. Well I'll just give a summary. Everyone thinks I'm straight and wanted to know who the "mystery girl" I've been hanging out with recently is. Went to dinner with my friend, I showed my friend a picture of the "girl" and her response was "Awwww, he is so cute." She was really cool with it.
She gave such a great response, not shock or making a big deal, just, how cute your guy is. That's really cool
It's great you have such an understanding friend, and that your coming out to her went well. I know having an uncomfortable or embarrassing first experience in coming out can put you off the idea, so I'm glad that didn't happen in your case.
I don't know man. She think's your boy friend is cute and has a history of dating gay guys. You better watch out, she might try to steal him. lol jk Congrats
Thanks for all the encouragement. I actually came out to another friend who I thought wouldn't be too cool with it, but he was completely fine with it. Now to tell my Mom and Sister... might wait a bit on those actually.
