I'm a little drunk, so forgive any spelling/grammatical mistakes

Last night, after much and long debate I decided I needed to get this off my chest. I'm at Uni, and on a rather wild night with a committee I'm a member of on Friday night I had drunkenly told one of the guys on the committee who I had already known was gay that I was also.

Anyway, last night, I went to my friends room at around two int he morning. It was fantastic. Sure it took me twenty minutes to say the words "I'm gay" but, hey, she had a fantastic response - "I have to say it doesn't come as a massive surprise. Now I cant talk to you about guy!" We then spent about an hour discussing all the hot guys in our year. It was even better than I could have hoped for.

So happy right now  not just alcohol induced

Thanks everyone for all your supportive messages. It means a lot that I can come on and share this kind of stuff on here, especially when I'm feeling down about everything!

Did anyone else who has come out to people before find that once they started telling people, you just want to tell more and more people, because I that's the way I feel right now - it's like, I don't know how to describe it, it's like a feeling that I just want more people to know, the more that know.

Totally! It's like you've gotten a little taste of freedom and you want to keep pushing at your boundaries. If you feel like you want to keep coming out, you should by all means go right ahead!

Yeah, exactly!!! One of my friends described it to me like this today: "it's like you've carried a bag of concrete blocks around on your back for years, then you suddenly realise you can set one down, then another, and then you're saying, well why not the whole bag?" Aaah, it feels so good to have gotten to this place now!

    Yes...

I told my first person at a party where all my close friends were and nobody else. Probably about 15-20 people. And I told this girl, who I was friends with but now we are closer than ever, and once I'd told her I just thought: "actually...this is okay!" and I told everyone on the same night. Not all at once, I just went round and gathered them in groups of two and said "Basically, if I don't do this now...I might never do it...I'm bisexual!" and they were all shocked but happy for me.

Was such a weird but amazing experience.

    Congratulations to you!

A little update - I have now come out to a lot more people, and last night came out to a guy for the first time - he's one of my best friends, and when I told him, he paused for a second, and then was just like "That's normal. I'm not friends with you cause your straight" which was I needed to hear from him really. I was just a lot more worried about telling the guys, but it seems like it's getting better - I'm about to go and tell another one of the guys now!!!
