Well I've sort of outed myself and my girlfriend at a family wedding... there's nothing like coming out to the whole clan in one hit! My Mum had worked it out but not said anything directly to me, other than if I'm happy then she's happy.... She is seriously ill with terminal cancer and I thought I could hide it from her in case it upset her ... some hope I should have known my Mum would work it out in two seconds flat. So anyway, we went to the family wedding and I got a text from my sister, saying that rumours were rife that my girlfiend and I were there as a couple and was this true. It felt so good to ring her and say 'yep' we are a couple and I love and I'm very happy. I'm fairly certain that my sister then had a field day going back to everyone to confirm that yep, they were there as a couple! I can't wait for the next family event to see if anyone says anything to me!
Hehe - Mums tend to have a lot of insight, don't they? Sounds like it was all relatively painless - good news!
Yay, congratulations... it's excellent that you felt ok coming out to so many people at that one time. Sorry to hear about your mother's cancer though
