This one was pretty intense lol.

Basically I got into this fight with my mom because I wouldn't cut the grass. I wanted a warning at least a day ahead of time. This has always been my only request. Well she just sprung it on me, and I told her that I needed to know at least a day ahead of time...so she turned off my texting. Needless to say, I was pissed.

I packed some clothes and went to my dad's. Later that day when I tried to call one of my gay friends (from online), it said the number had been blocked by the account owner (my mom), so I tried another gay friend. Same thing. I then called one of my straight friends from school and the call went through no problem. That set me off.

I called her up and we immediatly darted screaming. I threatened to tell her parents about her married Muslim (she's catholic) boyfriend (she claims they broke up) and I also said if I had to I'd contact authorities/police and tell them of how she used to beat me. She co pletwly denied all of it and told me I was crazy, delusional, and sick in the head. Finally, feel like I had no where else to run to, I decided to just tell my dad.

I went up to his room to talk to him and said "Dad, I need to talk to you.....one of the reasons me and mom haven't been getting along....is because I'm gay"...he was like "are you?" and I said "...yes". He asked if I was playing a joke on him and I said no, so we went to the living room to talk.

At first he was asking how I knew I was gay if I had never been with a chick, and I did the whole "how did you know you were straight before you messed around with girls?" thing. Then I told him about my past issues with self-abuse and being suicidal. That really broke through to him. He told me that even though he was shocked, he wished I would had told him sooner instead of hurting so long. He told me to keep my options open, but that he'd also support me whether I ended up with a man or a woman. That almost made me cry  he called my mom and sisters over and basically said "who cares what people think we have to support each other", and we all Webb out for ice cream.

I am so emotionally drained, but ithink things are gonna continue to get a lot better from now on  thanks, EC, and thank you Randy for believing in me

I am so happy that you're dad was so understanding and there for you when you really needed him!

Your mum sounds very intense, reminds me of my mum. I've moved away from home now and avoid staying there for very long when I need to go home and we get along a lot better now, but when I was 17 it was a lot like that. But your dad sounds like a wonderful man! Congratulations for coming out to him and that it went so well.
