Forget the Bag, This Cat is Out of the Closet!!

Yes, it is true. Do not attempt to adjust your screens, after over two years here on EC I finally kicked off my coming journey. It wasn't anything like I planned, but nothing in my life ever works out the way I want it to.

I told my mom a few weeks ago. Randomly, while riding in the car. I actually Told her a few other things as well. She wasn't upset by my being gay at all, and I knew she wouldn't be. Growing up she always told me she wouldn't care either way, so long as I'm happy. Truth be told, she was more upset by another secret I'd been keeping (which I don't think I can go into too much detail about, as it might violate the security guidelines set by the EC supercrew ).

But yes, I told someone. I'm officially out. I am not too happy with the way it took place, but I regret nothing. I didn't expect to feel so different afterwards either.

My mom is fine with all things LGBT and otherwise, as I stated above. This made it much easier to tell her I'm gay, although I still had some difficulty actually talking about it at first.

I've been trying to write out a glamourous recounting of everything that was said, but honestly it wasn't very dramatic, and I can't divulge all the details without breaking some rules. But I wanted to officially announce to all of my EC friends this joyous news. And I'd also like to thank everyone who posted their own stories, because even though I haven't posted in this section in two years, I still read all the stories and draw upon them for inspiration. So thank you all for the support and stories.

Now I can change my out status. FINALLY!!! (!) (!) (!) (!) (!)

And I plan on coming out to the rest of the family before summer concludes, sans my bigoted step-father, but he doesn't even know my middle name so my sexual orientation is the last thing I need to inform him about. :lol:
