I did it! I told my sis we needed to go somewhere no one would bother us. When I told her, she was shocked at first and then started to cry... at that point I wanted to as well, but i was to focused on the matter at hand...so she started to say how its a sin and how she can't begin to think wat my dad and mom would do to me if they ever found out. So I just sat there to let her cool down a bit and let her get out her thoughts. When she was done I told her I loved her, and I'm glad she is always there for me. after a while she told me she was sorry for yelling at me and then started asking random things like what I like in a man, whats my type, random stuff like that.. So it wasn't all bad and it turned out way differently than I thought it would... after words I just thought "heck with it" and called up a bunch of friends and told them. Some of em didn't Like it and others said they loved me for who I am, so yay! I will say the feeling was and still is amazing. I haven't been this happy in forever, plus thank you EC and its users for helping me out of my closet!(&&&) ( sorry for spelling and/or grammar errors )

Congratulations! I'm glad you were able to get the courage to tell your sister and then still have enough courage to tell some of your friends! Once again, Congratulations! (!)
thanks everyone! I plan on telling more people that I trust tomorrow when I'm back in school .. one thing you have to know about me, once I get my heart set on something I'm going to see it through to the end! ride:
It sounds like your sister was crying because she cares about you and doesn't want you to be rejected by your mother and father. Congratulations on coming out to her, and I am glad she took it fairly well. It's good to have at least one family member who supports you, so that you have a solid foundation to lean on when you come out to other people. Let us know how your coming out to more people goes, I am interested in hearing about it.
