Holy shit I just came out to my brother and dad!

Ok so I've had to much time off from work recently so I've been thinking a lot about different things and I've been getting very depressed. I decided it was time to let my family know whats up.

So yesterday I told my brother. I brought it up by asking him why he didn't have a girlfriend and he shot back with "why don't you have a boyfriend?" I basically told him that I'll never have a boyfriend to which he laughed and said "Your a lesbian!". So I threatened to throw a jar of peanut butter at him. In my family that means I love you lol.

Then today I had the perfect opportunity to tell my dad. My mom was out dancing and we were watching a movie together. I kept on trying to make myself say it but I just couldn't. Eventually my mom came home and I was crushed that I hadn't done it yet. When my mom was in the shower I went to the living room and the conversation went something like this:

me: so you know how we were talking about secrets (he had found my weed )
him: yea?
me: well i just wanted to let you know that I'm gay
him: oh are you ok with it?
me: yea just don't tell mom, i feel like she'd be less cool with it than you are
him: yeahhhhh

Now i'm hiding in my room :lol: we don't talk much in this family obviously. i may not come out to my mom until I'm physically in college but It's definitely a huge step forward!

Hahaha thanks everyone! So apparently my dad told my mom, and she doesn't care either Omg I'm finally free!!!

lol maybe now they won't be so surprised when i ask if I can cut all my hair off
