    say anything?

i left the letter where one of my parents would find it two minutes later. (i taped it to the door in the garage that she has to go in after she parks). the letter was gone when i got home, and i've been home for hours, but they haven't said anything.

    why won't they say anything!?!?!?!?!?

Maybe they just need some time to process the new information. If you feel comfortable doing so, you could ask about it.

biisme, you are so brave for going ahead with your coming-out. We are all here for you and wish you the best of luck! The thing to remember is that you've had your whole life to figure our your sexuality and they've had a few hours so far. The two things you need most right now are courage (and a thick skin, I suppose) and patience. Some parents go through a shocked phase when they first find out because the child they thought they knew turned out to be just in their imagination. The best thing you can do right now is give them a little time to let it digest.

(*hug*) I hope things go well for you, though.

my daddy and i just went to the grocery and he told me in the car that they just wanted me to be happy, that it must have taken a lot of guts to leave the letter, and that i didn't need to feel lik i HAD to tell anyone....

    i'm so happy.

    This is great news!

I'm sort of in the same boat. I told my parents almost 2 months ago in person, but they've not mentioned it since. They haven't changed in the way they relate to me either, so that's a good thing. I guess I'll need to bring it up if I want to talk about it any more.

aww congratulations and parents dont usually talk about this more than they have too, most of them think that you wont want to talk about it. i know i had to start the convo if i needed to speak with them about it, atleast ur dads had a go tho =]
