I recently came out to one of my classmates, and she is so far the only person in my grade to know about my transgender status. (My best friend already knew, but he's a year younger than me.) Luckily, this friend just happened to be the founder of our school's Gay-Straight Alliance, so I knew I could trust her. I don't really remember why I chose to tell her before anyone else, but it was partially about me needing advice on how and when to tell my parents. I texted her while I was waiting to be picked up after school. The conversation was really long, but the text that confirmed it was as follows: CIRCLE ONE: L G B (T) Just thought I should tell everybody!
Congrats! I have to say I love your avatar before anything else. Anyways with this post you have really given me "new hope" to come out to my friend at school. Thank you for being brave and bringing me inspiration.
Heh, when I told my friend, he was pretty much in denial. He was all like 'I'll get ya some help to fix this.' and I'm just like, there's nothin to fix. But anyways, I applaud you for your bravery! Good job coming out to your friend. You've gotta start off taking one step if you wanna run a mile
The full text was a bit longer, but that was the main part. And by the way, this avatar was just one of the default ones, ha ha...
