I just came out to my dad, and he was very accepting of it. He seemed really worried, and said I was probably going to have a rough life and all that, but he said that it didn't change his opinion of me at all. So, now I'm out to both of my parents. I still live in redneck central though, so there's no way I'm coming completely out of the closet here... but I at least feel better to get it off my chest.
Hey, there! Welcome to EC! I'm also a bit new here...Congrats on coming out to your dad, and props to him for accepting it. Don't worry about having it rough. I believe that it's actually a choice to have it rough or easy. You just have to have the right mindset for it. :eusa_clap:eusa_danc(!):eusa_danc:eusa_clap
Congratulations on coming out to your dad! It's great that you dad is accepting and supports you. Glad to hear you are feeling better now that your parents know.
Congratulations on coming out to your Dad! You might consider moving to Portland, since it wouldn't be out-of-state for you. Or somewhere else that's a good environment for LGBT people. If you really can't come out where you are, I strongly recommend going someplace you can. Life is too short to live it as someone else.
