It was during bio classes when I came to my best friend at uni. We were writing sort of texts on paper (in english, he's part australian and I prefer english to german or swiss german) me: gotta tell you sth, but don't quite know how... he: *indicating to just go ahead* me: uhmmm... I think I'm gay :icon_redf *suddenly concentrating on lession* he::eek: wow.. are u sure? (probably considering the huge skull on my jumper) me: yeah... well, as sure as I can be. you got a problem with that he: no problem with homosexuals. though you know I tend to make jokes about it me: I don't mind them, but please keep it secret, will you? he: If you wish so. to whom are you out to anyway? me: you and a good friend of mine. Parents don't know. he: wow. now I feel honoured. why not telling your parents? are you.. scared? me: more than telling anyone else he: why? are they conservative or homophobic? me: no, it's just... I could change my friends if I needed to, but my family will always be my family. he: true so far. do you need someone to be with you when telling your parents? me: as I'm not planing to tell them.. not yet. but thanks for helping me. this went on until the lession was over. I felt totally exposed all day but I'm getting used to it.
That's amazing :eusa_clap And It's so great that he was willing to help you with your parents and everything! He seems like a great friend.
That's awesome that your friend said he'd be willing to be there when you tell your parents. I wish more people would be like that. Grats for taking that big leap.
