Told my dad that "i like girls"

Well there we have it, finally came out to my dad that Im gay while we were in the car, we were talking about how ive never had a good relationship with my mom and he said that its been like that from the start and I said that its probably not going to get better coz she's homophobic. so yeah i just came out with it through that and he's cool with it, saying I must be comfortable with who I am and just be who I must be Feels so good!
He also added that I dont have to tell my mom if I dont want to, that its nobody's bussiness anyway, and it shouldnt matter :eusa_danc

 

Thanks guys, I wish everyone's parents could have his "I couldn't care if any of my kids are gay" attitude. Big *HUGS* to you all! His face was priceless, he was like "u like girls?" just making sure I said that coz I spoke softly with my younger sibs in the car too. And I looked away and said "yeah" expecting the worst reaction, coz I was so nervous I almost backed out during it.

 

So here's a follow-up, my dad was talking to me today about me coming out to him and was firstly addressing it like he was walking on eggshells saying "what we spoke about" not using the word "gay" at all like it's forbidden. And then he was saying that he thinks it's a phase I'm going through and how I'm not really sure i know what I want. WTH!!!! -_- he's making me feel so awkward to even talk to...
